Agate Private School

School accounts and sign-in help

Two accounts, different purposes

Your LearnFree.ca website account opens the family dashboard or your learner pages. A school-issued @ms.learnfree.ca Microsoft account opens school email and Microsoft Education services. They are separate accounts; creating one does not create the other.

Website registration does not enrol a family in the school or establish eligibility for a school Microsoft account. Read the enrolment steps or ask Agate about your situation.

For parents

  1. Create your parent website account using your own email address, then follow the email verification instructions.
  2. Agate issues learners’ school Microsoft accounts separately. If your learner’s address has not arrived, contact Agate before adding the learner to your dashboard.
  3. Once the learner can open school email, choose Add a learner in your family dashboard and use their issued school address. Their website invitation is sent there.
  4. The learner follows the invitation to finish setting up their own LearnFree.ca account. A second parent can be invited through Add Parent using their own email address.

Parents linked to the family and authorised Agate staff can see learner portfolios, submissions and learning activity. See our Privacy Policy for details.

For learners

Ask your parent or Agate for your school Microsoft account. Open its school email to find your LearnFree.ca invitation, then follow the invitation instructions. For Microsoft services, use your school address and Microsoft credentials. For your learning pages here, use your separate LearnFree.ca credentials.

For Agate’s Khan Academy classroom, open the join link from your learner programs, choose Microsoft sign-in and use your school account. Have a parent’s email address ready if Khan asks for it.

Trouble signing in or receiving an invitation?

  • LearnFree.ca website password: use website password reset. This does not reset your Microsoft password.
  • School email or Microsoft sign-in: contact Agate for help with the issued account. A parent’s personal address is not a substitute for the learner’s school address.
  • Missing website invitation: check the learner’s school inbox and junk folder. Ask the parent to check the address and resend the invitation from the family dashboard, or contact Agate if help is needed.

Email info@learnfree.ca or send an inquiry. Explain which account or service is affected and include the school address if you have it. Do not send passwords or temporary passwords.

Before buying Minecraft Education

The student licence requires the learner’s school-issued @ms.learnfree.ca address. The student-and-educator option requires school addresses for both the learner and parent or educator. Your order-contact email can be any address.

If the required accounts have not been issued, ask Agate to confirm eligibility and arrange the accounts before paying. A shop order does not create a Microsoft account. Agate assigns licences manually after payment and contacts you about access; payment confirmation does not mean a licence is ready immediately. Annual licence purchases do not renew automatically.

View licence options and read our purchase and refund guidance.
